<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus enabling a user to perform jamming disposal by easily confirming the jammed state of recording paper without standing up or sitting down. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with an apparatus main body 2 and a plurality of units 3 and 4 respectively independently drawn out from the main body 2, and the units 3 and 4 have a plurality of carrying means for carrying the recording paper, at least one detection display means 5 provided near the carrying means, detecting the carrying state of the carrying means when the recording paper is carried by the carrying means and displaying the detected carrying state, and a power storage means in which power is stored independently of the power source of the main body 2. By supplying the power to the display means 5 by the power storage means in a state where the units 3 and 4 are drawn out from the main body 2, the display means 5 detects the carrying state of the carrying means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
