PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and efficiently producing an optically activeβ-phenylalanine derivative and an optically active N-acyl-β-phenylalanine derivative. SOLUTION: This method for producing the optically active N-acyl-β- phenylalanine derivative comprises optically resolving an N-acyl-β-phenylalanine derivative by a preferential crystallization method.
