PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid drive system for compressor whereby a motor part having a permanent magnet used for a second prime motor is prevented from being operated as a generator and thereby power is prevented from being consumed in waste, when a compressor part is driven by a first prime motor. SOLUTION: The power of an on-vehicle engine 9 which is the first prime motor is transmitted to a shaft 10 of the compressor part 12 through a belt 8, a pulley 7 and a one-way clutch 11. In the motor part 6 formed inside the pulley 7, the permanent magnet 4 is attached on a rotor 5 integrally provided with the shaft 10. A plurality of coils 2 are provided on a stator 3 fixed on a position opposite to it, and electric power of a battery 19 is converted into the electric power of three-phase alternative current by a motor control circuit 20 which is an inverter, and is supplied to the coil 2. A relay 28 which is a current breaking device is broken when the compressor part 12 is driven by the engine 9 so as to restrain power generation of the motor part 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
