<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which protects a living organism from an outside factor. <P>SOLUTION: This composition protects the living organism from the outside factor, and contains a hot-water extract of Agaricus blazei Murll. The composition protects the living organism by making a cell in charge of an immunization as a mediator. The cell in charge of the immunization preferably comprises a microphage, a T-cell or an antibody-generating cell. The composition protects the living organism by strengthing the humoral immunity. The humoral immunity is strengthing by activating a lymphocyte cell which is selected from a group comprising the activated T-cell and the macrophage, or by strengthing expression of an interleukin which is selected from a group comprising interleukin-1β and interleukin-6.
