PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polylactic acid-containing resin composition which is transparent and excellent in heat resistance; and to provide a molded item made therefrom. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains (A) polylactic acid and (B) a copolymer containing lactone ring units. Preferably, the copolymer B contains 20-95 wt.% alkyl methacrylate component units, 0-5 wt.% vinyl carboxylate component units, and 5-80 wt.% lactone ring units. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
