PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery type fork lift truck allowing the enlargement of auxiliary machines provided at the lower part of the vehicle while minimizing the increase of vehicle height. SOLUTION: This battery type fork lift truck 20 with a battery 22 as a drive source is provided with a battery case 21 for enclosing a plurality of batteries 22, below a driver's seat 8. Step difference 21b is formed at the bottom wall of the battery case 21 since the part on the rear side of the driver's seat 8 is formed high at the bottom wall of the battery case 21.
