FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel amides of the formula (I): (R1)(R2)-X-Y-Q-R3 (I) wherein R1 and R2 taken in common form butenylene or pentinylene being each of that can be condensed with benzene optionally substituted with C1-C6-alkoxy group; R3 means phenyl substituted with halogen atom; X means CH; Y means NH-; Q means - C(O)-, under condition that when R1 and R2 taken in common form butenylene condensed with benzene then indane ring formed in common with R1, R2 and X is substituted with group Y-R3, at position 2, and their salts. Compounds of the formula (I) stimulate cholinergic activity and can be used for treatment and prophylaxis in amnesia, schizophrenia or dementia.
