PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guiding device that can improve the visibility of the vicinity of a crossing on a guided route. SOLUTION: When its own vehicle approaches the vicinity (within the distance of X [m]) of a crossing requiring guidance on a recommended route (searched route), the route guiding device displays the magnified picture of the crossing on the right-side screen of a displaying section 8. In the magnified picture, roads connected to the searched route or roads connected to the crossing requiring guidance are preferentially displayed and the display of the other roads is given up. Therefore, the visibility of the vicinity of the crossing is improved, because the complicatedness of the magnified picture is eliminated and the driver of the vehicle can only visibly confirm the road data required for driving the vehicle.
