摘要 PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase a surface area of a storage capacitor by expressing the storage capacitor in a stereoscopic form by using a lift-up film, thereby increasing electrostatic capacitance of the storage capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A transparent substrate(100) has a lift-up film(50) formed on the substrate. An active layer(31) is deposited and patterned on the transparent substrate and the lift-up film. A first insulating film(41) is deposited and patterned on the transparent substrate and the active layer. A first conductive film(21) is deposited and patterned on the first insulating film to be used as a gate electrode of a thin film transistor. A second conductive electrode is formed on the lift-up film to be used as a common electrode(32) of a storage capacitor(30). A second insulating film(42) is deposited on the first conductive electrode, the second conductive electrode, the active layer, and the transparent substrate. A metal electrode(22) passes through the second insulating film and contacts with the active layer to be used as a source electrode of the thin film transistor. A third insulating film(43) is deposited and patterned on the metal electrode and the second insulating film. A pixel electrode(14) passes through the third insulating film, the second insulating film, and the first insulating film for contacting with the active layer.
