<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst reduction method capable of effectively utilizing nitrogen contained in gas for reduction treatment of a CO conversion catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: In a hydrogen-containing gas generating system with at least a raw fuel feed section from which raw fuel for generating hydrogen-containing gas is fed, a reformer 3 in which the raw fuel is reformed to generate hydrogen- containing gas and a CO converter 4 in which CO in the hydrogen-containing gas is converted to CO<SB>2</SB>with a CO conversion catalyst 6 on the main channel from feed of raw fuel to generation of hydrogen-containing gas, when the CO conversion catalyst 6 is subjected to reduction reaction treatment, gas for reduction treatment is returned from the downstream side of the CO converter 4 to the upper stream side of the CO converter 4 and used under circulation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
