摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument for coefficient of dynamic friction that can accurately measure the coefficient of dynamic friction of a surface to be measured even when the surface is fairly rugged. SOLUTION: This measuring instrument for coefficient of dynamic friction is composed of an underframe 11, a driving section 13 vertically movably mounted on the underframe 11 through an elevating/lowering mechanism 14, and a measuring section 12. The driving section 13 is provided with a driving shaft 17 and a driving motor 24 which rotates the shaft 17. The measuring section 12 is provided with a driving disk 18 fixed to the driving shaft 17, a disk 19 rotatably attached to the driving shaft 17 below the driving disk 18, and a probe 20 attached to the lower surface of the disk 19. The section 12 is also provided with a spring balance 21 which connects the disks 18 and 19 to each other, a displacement gauge 22 which converts the displacement of the balance 21 into a quantity of electricity, and a detecting means 23 which measures the rotational speed of the driving disk 18. Since the elevating/lowering mechanism 14 is provided with a damping device 15 which damps the vertical vibration of the measuring section 12, this measuring instrument can accurately measure the coefficient of dynamic friction of the surface to be measured even when the surface is fairly rugged.
