PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear guide device, in which a catch in rolling of a rolling-element from no-load area to a load area is removed, a slide resistance and noise in a high-speed relative movement between a slider and a raceway rail is reduced. SOLUTION: The linear guide device comprises a raceway rail, a slider, and a plurality of rolling elements. In a raceway rail, a raceway surface for an rolling element is longitudinally formed. In the slider, there are provided a load raceway surface opposing to the rolling way, and a rolling-element return-course parallel with the load raceway surface, and further a pair of direction-changing courses which connect for communication both ends of the load raceway surface and the return-course to complete an endless circuit for the rolling element. The slider is built in freely movably relative to the raceway rail. A plurality of rolling elements circulates in the endless circuit under the load between the load raceway surface and the raceway rail. In the location where the direction-changing course and the load raceway surface are connected together, a step is made in which the load raceway surface becomes lower than the sidewall in the inside of the direction-changing course.
