<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint means for piping having excellent reliability of sealability and connecting strength without using fire. <P>SOLUTION: When a pipe P is inserted in a joint body 10 to screw a fastening member 30, a plurality of clamping rings 40, 50 are contracted in diameter to bite into the pipe P to lock the pipe P in the connected state, and the clamping rings 40, 50 are brought into watertight contact with the pipe P to seal the pipe P. In connecting the pipe P, since the fastening member has only to be screwed, there is no need to use fire. Since a plurality of clamping rings 40, 50 are arranged in the insert direction of the pipe P, locking and sealing of the pipe P are performed at a plurality of parts to have excellent reliability of connecting strength and sealing performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
