<p>The purpose is to stimulate vagus nerves efficiently while preventing the useless consumption of an energy. Provided is a nerve stimulation device (1) comprising: a stimulus signal output unit (3) which outputs a stimulus signal to a vagus nerve (B); a cardiac event detection unit (2) which detects a cardiac event; and a control unit (4) which determines the responsiveness of the heart (A) on the basis of the cardiac event that has been detected by the cardiac event detection unit (2) upon the output of the stimulus signal from the stimulus signal output unit (3) and controls the stimulus signal output unit (3) so as to decrease the intensity of the stimulus signal when the responsiveness of the heart (A) is decreased.</p> |
