The closure for a watch strap (1) has holes (12) formed in the end of one strap section (3). The opposing strap end (9) receives a hooking lug washer assembly (14a,b) which extends through the strap. The washer assembly has a washer on each side of the strap end with a pin passing through it to engage holes in the other end of the strap.
