PURPOSE: A method for raising a character based on call particulars is provided to construct a system for raising characters in a server computer, and to download the characters in a portable terminal, then to update the downloaded characters in real time, thereby applying various kinds of characters or voice modes. CONSTITUTION: A character image is downloaded to a portable terminal of a user(S10). A server computer automatically sets voice modes according to each caller group if the user does not want to input the voice modes(S11). If a call is transmitted or received in the portable terminal, a receiving/transmitting information detector of the server computer detects information on a caller group of a called party(S12). The server computer decides whether the called party is included in a twentieth age group(S13). If so, a voice mode applier extracts a growing mode to apply the mode to a character, based on information stored in a voice mode DB(S15). Image data corresponding to the growing mode is extracted from the character DB, and a character is updated as a changed image(S16). |
