摘要 |
PURPOSE: A process for modifying surface of a substrate is provided to economically and stably modify the surface by contacting the surface with XeF2 (xenon difluoride) then graft-bonding single molecules by contacting the surface with polymerable fluoro monomer in vapor status. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises steps of reacting the surface with gaseous xenon difluoride at 0 to 50 deg.C for 1 minute to 20 hours; reacting polymerable monomer in a gas status on the surface under a pressure of 50 to 150 torr and at 20 to 200 deg.C for 10 seconds to 72 hours; and reacting the gaseous xenon difluoride on the surface. The polymerable monomer is selected from a group consisting of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropene(HTP). The substrate is selected from any one consisting of glass, plastic, rubber ceramic and metal.
