<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate adjusting of a cutting position of a printer even in a state in which the printer is not connected to a personal computer. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 11 is provided with a printer controller 41 for printing on and cutting a roll paper, and a stand-alone controller 42 for executing reading out on the like of image data from a memory card M. When a cutting position adjustment starting signal is inputted to a stand-alone CPU 57 of the stand-alone controller 42, the CPU 57 reads out data on a cutting position adjustment pattern from a stand-alone ROM 58 and transmits the data to a printer CPU 43 of the printer controller 41. The CPU 43 drives a paper supply motor 27, a paper feed motor 28, a carriage motor 35 and a printing head 36 to print the cutting position adjustment pattern to the roll paper and send the paper, and drives a motor 38 for cutter to cut the roll paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
