<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for printing for decreasing warp of a base material generated when a pearl printing is performed by lithographic printing or relief printing and a pearl tone printed matter obtained by this method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for printing for decreasing the warp of the base material 1 when the printing is performed with a pearl ink by the lithographic printing or the relief printing, the method for printing of the present invention is characterized by (1) printing a picture pattern 3 by the lithographic or relief printing so as to overlap at least a part of the picture pattern on a pearl printing picture pattern on the surface, (2) printing the same picture pattern 3 on the back surface at the same position as that for the pearl printing picture pattern on the surface, (3) printing a picture pattern being a different picture pattern from the pearl printing picture pattern on the surface and with a larger size than that on the surface, or (4) printing a picture pattern being a different picture pattern from the pearl printing picture pattern on the surface and with a smaller size than that on the surface.
