PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion composition which can form a film excellent in transparency and a gas barrier property even under high humidity, and to provide a film fabricated from this dispersion composition. SOLUTION: In the dispersion composition, a compound in an inorganic layer is dispersed with a dispersing machine into a solution of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, that the dispersion of the compound in the inorganic layer is conducted with a peripheral speed of 10 m/s or more with the dispersing machine, and that the viscosity of the dispersion composition obtained by the dispersion is 0.1-1.0 Pa*s.
