CAVA-FILTER OCTOPUS

摘要

The cava-filter "Octopus" for the endovascular prophylaxis of the thrombembolia of the pulmonary artery consists of the arched flexible rods designed as the spreaders. The rods of various lengths are made of the biologically inert material and arranged into two sets, namely upper or cranial storey and lower or caudal one. Within the sets, the bigger rods alternate with the smaller ones. The rods are assembled in the cartridge of the filter. The filter comprises both straight and wave-shaped rods with their flexures throughout their length being juxtaposed in the different planes one relative to another.
