<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately detect the locking of a loading motor and to reverse the motor rotation so as to solve the jamming problem when a foreign object or the like is caught in the loading mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: An electric resistor 7 is inserted between a motor driving integrated circuit 1 and a loading motor 2, an increase in the current during a loading motor lock is converted into a voltage and the voltage is compared with a reference voltage by a comparator 8. When the voltage exceeds a reference potential 9, it is discriminated that loading motor lock has occurred and a discrimination output 10 is outputted. Thus, the loading motor lock is immediately detected, a motor rotation reversal signal 6 is outputted from a microcomputer 4, the motor is reversely rotated and a magnetic recording and reproducing device having a superior characteristic to eliminate a jamming condition is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
