PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll-type compressor wherein a length of a discharge valve is elongated to further improve the performance. SOLUTION: In this scroll compressor having a stepped end plate 12a, the end plate 12a of a fixed scroll 12 is provided with a recessed part 50 comprising the discharge valve for preventing the back-flow of the fluid discharged from a discharge port 25 penetrated from a surface side toward a rear face side, on an area H surrounded by a line connecting an outer peripheral side of a stepped part 42 of a wall body 12b to an inner peripheral side of the stepped part 42 along the wall 12b at a center side of a scroll with respect to the stepped part 42 formed at the surface side, when the end plate is observed from the rear face side opposite to the surface provided with the wall body 12b, in such manner that a central line of the discharge valve is located on a position where a distance between a center of the discharge port 25 and the line surrounding the area H is maximum.
