<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device aiming at an effective use of turning on/off of a lamp and charging. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device comprises a commercial power source 1, a re-chargeable battery 2, a lamp 3, a switching contact 4 switching the commercial power source 1, a light switch 5 turning on/off the lamp 3, a light circuit 6 lighting the lamp 3 using the commercial power source 1 or the battery 2 as a power source, a charging/discharging circuit 7 charging or discharging the battery 2, and a control part 8 controlling the switch contact 4 and the charging/discharging circuit 7 by detecting the on/off of the light switch 5. The illumination device utilizes the battery 2 during the time zone of a peak electric power demand, and utilizes the commercial power source 1 except the time zone of the peak electric power demand, and the battery 2 is charged during the period that the lamp 3 is turned off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
