<p>A system and method for teaching subjects related to the collection and preparation of collectible samples, such as fossils and gemstones. The method including the steps of : providing a simulated naturally occuring environment (P1), such as a 'dig' site, placing a bulk collection material containing the collectible samples in the naturally occuring location (P2), providing instruction as to how to extract the collectibles (P3), having the user extract the collectibles (P4), providing a simulated preparation area (P5) and providing instruction as to how to prepare the collectibles (P6) for presentation or use.</p> |
