The clutch module comprises a cover (12), a diaphragm (14) and a pressure plate (16) rotating with the cover. A friction disc (18) is connected to a driven shaft. A reaction plate (20) is mounted on a support web (22) and fixed peripherally to the cover. The cover has a series of fixing legs (66) which extend axially from the cover peripheral edge (58). The fixing legs emerge from an annular skirt (166) that has the cover in its external periphery. Each leg passes axially through a corresponding passage (68) in the periphery (70) of either the support web or reaction plate. The legs extend axially beyond (90) the radial face (72) of the web or reaction plate and are held axially relative to these.
