The radar method for distance and velocity measurement in which frequency modulated measurement signals are propagated with the frequency modulation valve following reflection subjected to frequency spectrum analysis. Accordingly the measurement signals are sampled at equal time intervals, data are processed using an SVD matrix method, an approximation of a diagonal matrix is formed and the principal matrix components are used to determine the frequencies.
