<p>Wool is treated with a chlorinated solvent, which after separation from the wool, is extracted with a water/alcohol mixture. The solvent, containing wool grease, is separated from the mixture and is recovered by distillation at low temp. and pressure. Apparatus is described. The solvent, pref. is trichlorethylene or perchlorethylene.</p> |
