PURPOSE: An exhaust structure of an upright type vacuum cleaner is provided to meet the convenience of a user by easily opening/closing a filter cover and preventing the filter cover from being opened easily by the exhaust pressure of air. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust structure of an upright type vacuum cleaner is composed of a frame(32) having a duct(31) to be communicated with a motor driving chamber(12), a support member(33) protruded from the inner wall of the duct, a filter(34), a filter cover(35), and a detaching unit(40) opening/closing the filter cover. The detaching unit includes a hook(50) formed at the end of the filter cover, and a locking hole(60) having a locking protrusion formed at the frame.
