Device (1) for heating or keeping food warm in or without vessels comprises a flat rectangular or oval plate (2) with beveled edges (3) and one or more heat sources. The plate is fixed to uprights (4) consisting of a curved U-shaped rod or tube with bent ends (6). A frame made of a rod or tube serves as a holder for the heat sources. Preferred Features: The angle of the beveled edges is about 45degrees. The U-shaped uprights are curved in the middle to form a handle (7) and the outer sections form the feet (8) of the stand. The feet are provided or covered with a non-slip material.
