An air freshening device comprises a magnet 1, a fragrance source 2 and vent holes 3. The magnet enables the device to be attached to a metallic surface. If the metallic surface is heated such as a radiator or fireplace, the magnet will act as a heat conductor and heat the fragrance source to promote evaporation of the volatile fragrance and thus emission of the fragrance to the room. The fragrance source may be in the form of an oil, a gel, or crystals. The device will also be able to emit a fragrance when no heat is applied to the device. The magnet may be coated in a plastic will a melting point sufficiently high to prevent damage to the device by the heat from the radiator or fireplace. The vents may be adjustable so that the number of vents opened or closed may be controlled by the user.
