PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly provide a deodorizing device for placing a potted plant, etc., thereon, which returns deodorized and cleaned indoor air into a room by sucking in the indoor air so as to remove and clean both acetaldehyde-based odors such as an ammoniacal odor and a toilet odor and formaldehyde-based odors such as a living odor, a body odor and a raw garbage odor, included in the indoor air. SOLUTION: Characteristically, this deodorizing device is equipped with: a sheathing part in which a suction port for sucking in the air in a room of a building and a delivery port for delivering the cleaned air into the room are provided in a wall surface, and whose top surface has a part for placing the potted plant, etc., thereon; a first deodorizing member for removing the acetaldehyde-based odors such as the ammoniacal odor and the toilet odor from the air taken in via the suction port, and a second deodorizing member for removing the formaldehyde-based odors such as the living odor, the body odor and the raw garbage odor from the air; and a blast fan device which delivers the taken-in air into the room via the delivery port after the taken-in air is brought into contact with the first and the second deodorizing members.
