PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify selection of a measuring region which is optimal to a user of a magnetic resonance device. SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance measurement for forming the image of an interested region of an examination object (1) is performed. A magnetic resonance tomographic image of a tomogram wherein the location and the azimuth of the interested region can be set in advance is displayed. Then, prior to the magnetic resonance measurement for forming the image, a two-dimensional or three-dimensional magnetic resonance quick sketch imaging of at least one section of the examination object (1) is performed for this magnetic resonance image-forming method. In such a magnetic resonance image-forming method, a contour (2) of one section of the examination object is automatically obtained from the magnetic resonance quick sketch imaging figure. Then, the size of a minimum measurement region (3) for performing a magnetic resonance measurement for forming the image is automatically calculated while the contour (2) is taken under consideration, by the location and the azimuth of the tomogram which can be set in advance. Thus, a convolution is not generated in the magnetic resonance tomographic image at all, or only a convolution of a degree which can be set in advance is generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
