<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a terminal of a connector of an electric fusion joint. <P>SOLUTION: This electric fusion joint made of a thermoplastic resin material is provided with an electric heating means for fusing an external surface of a resin pipe to be connected built therein and a connector pin for energizing to the heating means. At a position which does not interfere with the connector (a terminal of a power cable) of a controller for energizing (fusion power supply device), a protective projection is provided, projecting to an outer peripheral side of the joint from a connection projecting part for guiding the fitting of the connector pin and the connector. Or, at a position which does not interfere with the connector, a projection or a groove is provided, and a protective cover for covering the connector pin and the connection projecting part is mounted without bringing the cover into contact with the connector pin and the connection projecting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
