PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniaxial actuator which prevents foreign matters such as dust from entering the inside of a direct acting guide rail through an opening window. SOLUTION: This uniaxial actuator is provided with the direct acting guide rail 12 whose cross section along the direction of width is formed into a U- shape, a pair of end plates 14 provided by opposing to both end parts in the longitudinal direction of the direct acting guide rail mutually, a cover plate 16 blocking an upper part opening of a box body formed by the end plates 14 and the direct acting guide rail 12, a slider 18 having a slider connection part 24 protruding on a side of the direct acting guide rail 12 through the opening window formed between right and left side faces of the direct acting guide rail 12 and the cover plate 16, and a ball screw 20 driving the slider 18 in the longitudinal direction of the direct acting guide rail 12. An elastic seal means composed of a pair of upper and lower elastic seal members 32, 34 is provided in the opening window. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
