PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal floor post which is highly safe and whose strength can be maintained for a long time by virtue of extremely excellent corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: In this metal floor post, a base material is composed of an iron-based material; a galvanized layer is formed on a surface; a chromate film layer is formed on the galvanized layer; and on the chromate film layer, there is formed a baking coated film layer which comprises paint predominantly composed of resins such as a silicon resin and an alkyd resin, and in which carbon powder equivalent in weight ratio to 5-70% and aluminum powder are contained in the paint.
