PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which a prescribed dot pattern is added to an image signal so as to be easily detected, and an image processing method. SOLUTION: In a noise removal processing part 1101, noise removing processing is applied only to pixels near a position where an additional signal is added to an image signal and in a dot addition processing part 1102, the additional signal presenting a tracking pattern is added to the noise-removed image signal.
