<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device excellent in accuracy of a gap of a liquid crystal cell, being low-cost and highly reliable by using a laminated glass substrate which maintains high flatness even after high tempera ture processing in a manufacturing process of the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal material is sandwiched between the pair of substrates. Pixel electrodes and common electrodes in a comb shape are formed on one substrate out of the pair of substrates so as to face the counter substrate, or electrodes in a matrix are formed thereon. Furthermore, with respect to a structure of at least one substrate out of the pair of substrates, one or more kinds of optical members and an organic-inorganic hybrid resin material are laminated between a pair of extremely thin glass substrates or between an extremely thin glass substrate and a thick glass substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
