PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for a network-based technical library capable of providing any technical information to users efficiently. SOLUTION: The method and system according to the invention are to provide technical information 60 using a network system 10 equipped with a server system 12 for making communications between a database 20 and a client system 14. The method is executed through a process 240 to store the technical information in the database, a process 244 to add the outline data 62 to the technical information, a process 246 to verify the technical information, a process 250 to check the technical information 60 and the outline data added 62, a process 252 to alter the outline data 62 added to the technical information 60, and a process 254 to provide the technical information in response to the inquiry given by any anthenticated user.
