An interactive voting application is broadcast to a broadcast receiver. T he broadcast receiver executes the voting application, allowing a voter to cast one or more votes on an electronic ballot, and then transmits the votes to a server. In a preferred embodiment, the server stores the votes so that the voters cannot be associated with their votes.
