PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turntable equipped with a clamping mechanism which is mechanically simple, is robust, features good productivity and has high reliability to retain the clamping capability of a disk without deterioration in spite of an ambient temperature change. SOLUTION: A turntable body 10 is formed of an elastic synthetic resin, such as a polycarbonate resin, and an annular back yoke 20 consisting of a thin metallic sheet of a magnetic material, such as an iron sheet, and an annular magnet 30 are fastened into an annular hole 12 of a center part of the center guide 11. The back yoke 20 is locked by a locking pawl 14 having a spring characteristic disposed at an outer peripheral wall 12b of the annular hole 12 and is fastened to a base surface 12a of the annular hole 12.
