<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable information terminal device in which various kinds of operations can be carried out with a few operation switches, an whose operability is sharply improved. <P>SOLUTION: An operation key 10 enabling a reverse scroll operation is controlled by an operation changeover switch 20 so that vertical (up/down), lateral (right/left), and oblique (upper right/lower left) scroll directions can be selected.
