POLYAMIDE

A polyamide having in the molecule a structural unit represented by the general formula (I): (I) wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 are the same or different and each represents hydrogen or lower alkyl, provided that at least one of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 is lower alkyl. The polyamide is excellent in solubility in organic solvents including lower alcohols, thermal stability, etc.
