PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer packaging tube fitting device capable of shortening working hours for modification, simplifying a structure, and correctly mounting an outer packaging tube on a container. SOLUTION: Each outer packaging tube fitting head of a main turret 2 is constituted with a bottle setting stand, a bottle support bar 8, and an outer packaging tube holding means. A bottle 30 is supplied onto the bottle setting stand, and simultaneously, the bottle support bar 8 is moved downward while penetrating through an outer packaging tube 29 held by the outer packaging tube holding means, and presses a cap of the bottle. Consequently, the bottle is pinched and held by both the bottle setting stand and the bottle support bar, and under such a condition, the bottle is moved upward during transfer while being rotated, thus automatically fitting the outer packaging tube onto a body of the bottle. Accordingly, since the bottle is not necessary to be held by a bottle holder during transfer while being rotated, it is unnecessary to replace the types of a bottle holder and a guide in accordance with the kinds of containers. Further, since such an operation as to directly hold the outer packaging tube is not performed, positional deviation is hardly caused. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
