PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which quickly and efficiently dries the laundry when it is hung indoors. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is provided with an indoor unit 1 installed indoors, and a remote device 10 which can be separated from the indoor unit 1, provided with a humidity sensor and sending humidity detected by the humidity sensor to the indoor unit 1. The indoor unit 1 is characterized by that it is composed so that an operating state is controlled on the basis of the humidity detected by the remote device 10 in a particular operation mode.
