PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily enhance the performance of a built-in flash device. SOLUTION: The camera is provided with an accessory 200 incorporating a battery 8 and a charge circuit 9 for increasing the voltage of the battery 8. The accessory 200 is attachably/detachably attached to a camera main body 50 by a connector part 54, and the main capacitor 3 of the built-in flash device 100 of the camera is rapidly charged by the charge circuit 9 of the accessory 200 with the charge circuit 1 of the device 100. Thus, the performance of the device 100 is easily enhanced as follows; the flash light emitting interval of the discharge tube 4 of the device 100 is shortened, and the number of flash photographing times per unit time is increased.
