PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automotive steering support structure that can simply suppress resonance of steering by increasing torsional rigidity in a pitching direction without increasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: A passenger-seat-side side end of a base face 9a of a steering support 9 mounted with a steering column 8a about the back of the base face has a side face 6b bent down. A driver's seat side cross pipe 10 has a vertical pipe portion 12 bent down after passage through a swell portion 9b, and the vertical pipe portion has an inner face joined to the side face 6b on the base face side end, and a lower end mounted on a floor 2. A passenger seat side cross pipe 13 has an inner end joined to a corner portion 12b at an upper end of the vertical pipe portion 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
