PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save on energy and to prevent worsening of environment by automatically stopping an engine when a paving machine interrupts a work. SOLUTION: An engine control device 15 comprises a running and stop switch 16 to switch running and a stop rotation of a machine; an engine stop solenoid 17 to stop rotation of the engine; and a relay circuit 18 to operate the engine stop solenoid 17 when the running and stop switch 16 is in a stop position. When the running and stop switch 16 is operated to a stop position, electric connection from a contact 22 to a second relay 25 is effected and the second relay 25 is momentarily operated. Thus, a contact 26 of the second relay is operated. Thus, the second relay contact 26 is operated and the first relay 24 is operated, a first relay contact 28 is operated and an engine stop solenoid 17 is operated, therefore rotation of the engine is stopped.
