PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bricks which are formed by utilizing waste PET (polyethylene terephthalate) pieces, can be recycled by easy separation in disposal, are made lighter in weight to permit cultivation of plants suitable for rooftop greening and can conserve water resources by promoting cleaning of water. SOLUTION: The following means are adopted for the circulation type bricks suitable for planting and paving. Firstly, a small volume of gypsum water is added to 20 to 40 wood flour per 100, by weight, dry soil and a clayey material is formed by agitating the mixture. Secondly, the clayey material is put into a form of a recessed shape and is attached in a recessed shape to the inside surface of the form and the top surface of the clayey material is covered with the clayey material and is allowed to dry with air. Thirdly, the clayey material is fired for 24 to 30 hours at 600 to 800°C and thereafter the material bricks are formed. Fourthly, the surfaces exclusive of the base surfaces of the material bricks are covered by a coating material formed by adding gypsum of 30 to 40 per 100 waste PET pieces and melting the mixture. Fifthly, a desired number of the bores arriving at the material bricks from the coating material on the top surfaces are drilled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
