PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pottery which can exhibit the various effects based on the characteristics as a ferroelectric substance of tourmaline even when the amount of using the tourmaline is decreased and a method of manufacturing the same at low cost. SOLUTION: Glaze containing tourmaline is applied to the body surface of biscuit fired goods and is then fired in a temperature range up to maximum 1,100 to 1,400°C, by which the pottery formed with a coating layer containing tourmaline having the maintained characteristics as the ferroelectric substance is manufactured.
